The history and experience behind KTL & H Tax Prep (as of 11/11/22, HEIDI THE TAX LADY, LLC), goes back many years.  Its origination would go back to the late Katherine White who began KTL Tax Prep several years after working in Troy Tax Service, under Mr. John Blizzard, a 30+ year business owner and Accountant in Troy, NY.  This union would go on for some 20+ years, servicing many clients in the Troy and surrounding areas, at the Troy Atrium.  In 2015 the Troy office would take a change of hands. Katherine and her daughter Heidi White, a 2014 Accounting High Honors Graduate, began their business venture together taking on the major portion of the Troy Tax Service clientele, as well as their own from the Averill Park location.

In their second year of business, Ms. Katherine passed away unexpectedly, leaving her daughter Heidi on an individual journey to run their business and service their valued clients.  This is when "KTL & H Tax Prep" began.  Proudly, Ms. Heidi has continued the business, as well as grown through the years.  Without her business partner and mother by her side, she continued to operate inside Troy Tax Service, as well as in her Averill Park location. While also having one of her colleagues and mentors John Blizzard, alongside. The experience gained from our colleagues, from each other, is immeasurable and irreplaceable! During the pandemic, Heidi decided to move the practice out to her Averill Park location.  This has been a favorable decision, which also allows for better time management and more valuable time spent with clients throughout the year.  Having a full-time presence in their hometown, has been a wonderful blessing.
